The Virginia DECA Foundation supports education across the entire Commonwealth by providing college scholarship assistance to high school students who have excelled in courses involving Marketing, Internet Marketing, Global Marketing and Commerce, Travel and Tourism, Hotel Marketing Fashion, Sports, Entertainment and Recreation, Financial Services, Real Estate, and Entrepreneurship.
Last year, Virginia DECA student members performed 239,876 hours of community service across the state. This is an increase of 46% in community service hours from the year prior. The scope of the charitable projects ranges as wide as the students’ imaginations, including: Adopt a Park, Cops for Kids, Alzheimer’s Walk-a-thon, collecting donations for Tsunami victims, collecting gifts for underprivileged youth, coat drives, recycling efforts, Salvation Army Angel Tree, canned food drives, and many more.
Annually, the Virginia DECA Foundation will fully fund multiple $1,000 scholarships to deserving and qualified students who plan to continue their studies in the field at the college level.
